Hazel Grove Baptist Church welcomes children. We have approximately 100 children aged 3 to 11 years and our aim is to enable them to have a great relationship with a great BIG God. There's a host of exciting stuff going on during the week including Seedlings which runs on Monday & Tuesday mornings as well as Tuesday afternoons, and of course activities on Sunday's too, please read on & you'll see.

At Hazel Grove Baptist Church, have a firm belief that children are a vitally important part of our church and there’s always loads going on ...

Sunday Mornings
On the 1st Sunday of the month we have our Family Service, in which we aim to grow as a family worshiping and learning together through a variety of styles.

On the 3rd Sunday we have Kid’s Church, where the children will be together and through songs, stories and games and craft learn about God.

On the other Sundays in the month we have our Sunday School groups which range from Pre- school to Year 6 using many different styles of learning and having loads and loads of fun.

For those under 3 years we have a creche that runs during the Sunday Morning service.

Unique!
This is our Children’s club on a Friday evening 6:30 till 7:45 for those in years 3-6, where we play games, hear stories and worship God.

Holiday Clubs
We also run two Holiday Clubs a year, one at Easter and one during the Summer, which are fun filled times, with songs, Bible stories, games, crafts, gunge and lots more.

Family Fun Days
In July we hosted our first Family Fun Day, and we enjoyed it so much we are doing it again in February, so come along, with all the family, we have inflatables, facepainting and much more.

Light Party
As an alternative to Halloween parties we are hosting a Light Party. On the 31st October, this will include, games, stories and a lot of silliness, and also some food.

This is open to all those in Years R to 6 and is from 4 - 6:30

Christmas Party
Our Christmas Party will be on the 10th December, more information to come, so watch this space.

Time2Play
This another one of our initiatives where once every two months those in years R to 2 and parents invade a local soft play centre, and burn off as much energy as possible whilst the parents can sit and relax with a cuppa, or play as well.

This August we held our first Summer Holiday Club called Desert Detectives. Along with two Silly Detectives we looked into the story of Joseph, and all the things that went on in his life, and even though a lot of things seemed to go wrong, the fact was that God was with him, and what an amazing end to the story, Check it out in Genesis.

As well as the story of Joseph we had singing and dancing, (thanks to our wonderful dancers, you know who you are), games, craft and loads more.

We had about 60 children along each day ages ranging from those about to go into Reception all the way to those leaving Primary School, for the dizzy heights of High School.

To finish each day we had a Quiz and then you could sense the tension from the leaders as the Gunge, drew closer, and the children decided who to Gunge. It was very yucky!!

On the Sunday morning we took part in the normal Sunday service before heading to another session. With our detectives, who did indeed get Gunged themselves.
