Every Thursday we go into Manchester city centre with, bread, stew and other food as well as clothes and blankets for the homeless. We aim to have a chat and learn about current events from them as well as seeking to encourage all who would listen, to have a living faith in Jesus Christ, who is the only sure way to heaven and a better life.
As a suburban church, we seek to help the witness of the inner city churches and by this, build up God's work and witness so there can be an outpouring of God's Spirit in Manchester. We believe God wants to bless the homeless and do a great work among them.
The work was started a few years ago when there was little provision by other agencies, and have continued as it is God's will that we do not forget the less prosperous.
The homeless suffer from hopelessness and an inability to be organised and conformed. yet many do have a desire to see a real community exist where individual problems, whether caused by drugs or other social evils can be solved. We with God's blessing can help them.
