The Pregnancy Advisory Centre at HGBC provides a wide range of services, including:
• free pregnancy testing
• pre and post abortion counseling
• support for a client through her pregnancy which also includes practical support as well as counseling, ie equipment for the baby, clothes etc... if needed.
We also have information on adoption and can refer to the organisations dealing with this area.
Schools work includes talking to students in years 10 and 11 (depending on what the school requires). We talk about abortion from a Christian viewpoint as well as discussing issues regarding their sexuality and relationships. |

We have information re social services, housing, finances during pregnancy, adoption and mother and baby accommodation.
We are affiliated with Care, a Christian organisation who are part of a network of about 140 pregnancy crisis centres throughout England, Scotland and Wales. There is a national help line, called Careline, on 0800 028 2228 which links to each pregnancy centre and is open from Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm.
Our centre's phone number is +44 (0)161 487 3709 is available 24 hours a day. If we are not available in the centre, another number is given so callers can speak to someone, 7 days a week.
