Here at HGBC we have a fantastic youth venue called The Loft. Its fully equipped with a pool table, air hockey, play station a table tennis table and much more. This venue ensures we have plenty of activities for all young people. Whatever you're in to, we have probably got it:

EVERY SUNDAY
11am - 12 Midday
School years 7 - 9
A group for young people who want to have fun, make friends and find out what it means to be a Christian in the 21st Century.

Mondays 7.30 - 9.00pm
Age 11 – 14
This is the event of the week – fun, competitions, messy games, videos, socials and other special themed evenings. We also look at issues that affect you and see what God has to say about it.

Wednesday 7.00 – 8.00 Thursdays 7.00 - 9.00pm
A house group for young people in schools years 7 and above. Worship, The Word and Witness. Get closer to God and praying for our friends to get to close to him.

Throughout the year we hold weekends away, socials and special days for girls only. As part of this we talk about issues relevant to young women, helping them make right choices in life.

We’ve recently started a group for our lads at HGBC. So far it has been outward bound activities, walking, BBQ and last year we climbed mount Snowdon!!!

Sundays 6.30 – 7.30pm
On the third Sunday of the month we hold our Youth Service. The aim of Ignite is to see the young people actually leading and run it. So it’s aimed at all ages but trains the young people into positions of responsibility. So far we have young people involved in the worship, drama, singing, speaking, running the PA, hosting and reading dramatic Bible readings.

We have a well established mentoring scheme at HGBC for girls. Meeting on regular occasions with an adult female - there is an opportunity to discuss issues that concern you and receive prayer. We add to this with regular sleep over's and special evenings focusing attention on issues that affect teenage girls in the present day.

Here at HGBC we strongly believe that young people are the leaders of today so throughout the year we have opportunities for you to get involved. Drama, video projects, youth bands, taking part in church services and leading groups. In the past six months we had a 10 year old leading our Christmas Service and we put on a drama by young people attended by over 1400 people.

Friday lunchtimes - Hazel Grove High School
School years 7 - 11
Yes, we even get into the local secondary school every Friday lunchtime at Hazel Grove High School. Bring your lunch and a friend for 40 minutes packed full of games and prizes as well as talking about issues that affect you. You'll even see us pop into your assemblies as well with a lively presentation of the what Christians believe. A great way to spend your lunch time.

Every Alternate Friday, the Loft is thrown open to 14+ for a social evening which is a time to play games or just chill, kick back and relax. It is a time for the young people to get to know each other and aslo the leaders.

School years 6
Every July we hold a special event for all year 6’s in Hazel Grove. Get Together Year 6 (GTY6). The morning includes puppets, videos, team building exercises, food and an opportunity to ask questions to people already at High School. It’s a place to ease any fears you may have about the new school you’re going to. We also give everyone a free copy of the Scripture Union Book “It’s Your Move”. A brilliant book with all the information you may need to know about High School.

Throughout the year we love to get away for holidays and weekends away each year we go on the following:

Weekend away – For all the youth at HGBC we go away for a weekend so we can get to know God better and have some good fun hanging out together.

Teaching Weekend (March) – This is a sleepover for all the young people at HGBC. Its loads of fun but we spend a lot of time teaching some solid bible truths and applying them to our lives.

Slum Survivor (June) – We spend the weekend living like a slum dweller raising awareness of how people live in other parts of the world. In the morning we work on projects and in the evening we sleep out doors in the slum houses we build. Food is rationed until the last day when we end the event with a communal meal.

Soul Survivor (August) – We have been going to Soul Survivor since we we’re in nappies and we love it. Five nights under canvas enjoying worship with 5000 other Christians and listening to international speakers as well as avoiding the mud and slime caused by the rain of a typical British weather!

If you come to any of these events you will have direct access to loads of other socials, special events, holidays and weekends away. Some of the highlights of the year are: dance and drama workshops, Faith Camp and video nights. Recently our young people performed The Lion witch and Wardrobe to over 1400 people. We also are very active in the local primary schools taking lessons and assemblies. In June we hold special events for pupils in year six moving to High School.
